Project description
The plant treats all sewage water from the west and south part of the great Reykjavík district area.  After treatment, the waste water is disposed to the ocean, about 4 km off the coast.
The total max. inflow to the plant is 3435 l/s and the max. owerflow is 1200 l/s.  The plant is mostly of cast-in-place concrete, and the total area is 1.460m² and the total volume 14.700 m³.

Reykjavík west, Iceland.
Scope of Almenna services
Almenna was the chief engineering consultant and designer, which includes the geotechnical, structural, environmental, mechanical, and HVAC design. Almenna was also responsible for the supervision of the construction.
