Project description
The project comprises rehabilitation the 2 main runways and adjustment of the SW-NE runway, construction and adjustment of taxiways, construction of a storm water system and replacement of the electrical devices.
Quantities:  3 runways, 1825 m, 1492 m and 960 m.  Ground replacement 500.000 m³.  Asphalt concrete 200.000 m², electrical conduits 40.000 m, storm water pipes 3.400 m.
Location
Reykjavík, Iceland.
Scope of Almenna services
Almenna was responsible for all surveys, geotechnical investigations and all design except electrical design.  Besides this Almenna was responsible for project management the first year and helped with the environmental assessment.
