Almenna offers comprehensive consulting services in the environmental, transport and planning areas. A great deal of the work done in the environmental area involves project planning and environmental impact assessments, groundwater studies, flood-risk assessments, pollution studies and planning for cleanup and restoration, geological consulting for construction on loose sediments and rock, environmental and safety management, sustainable design certification (BREEAM), hydrographic measurements, EarthCheck (Green Globe) maintenance certification, and green accounting.

The chief projects in the transport area are traffic management, road and street design, traffic-safety surveys and proposals for improvements, traffic-noise calculations and airport design.

The main planning projects involve advice to counties and municipalities on regional, general, and secondary land-use plans and national park planning.

The Environment and Planning division also offers surveying and cartography services and assists regional and municipal building and planning offices.
